The 2014 Local Land Charges Awards

Property Searches are proud to be asociated with Land Data, the leading authority on electronic land and property information, and to be an NLIS channel partner.  Through the National Land Information Service (NLIS), Land Data provides electronic access to official sources of land and property information, across the whole of England and Wales.

The Land Data Local Land Charges Awards, now in their 7th year, celebrate the work and achievements of local authority local land charges departments which carry out the land and property searches required for conveyancing transactions in England and Wales.

The Awards cover six categories recognising customer satisfaction, most improved NLIS service, best NLIS local land charges department, local land charges officer of the year and a Lifetime Achievement award.  Over 135 representatives from local land charges teams across the country attended the event.

Thames Water Property Searches, who ensure industry-leading turnaround times and a first-class customer service by working in partnership with NLIS, once again sponsored the Customer Satisfaction for Local Authority Searches award which this year was won by Birmingham City Council.

Searches Manager, John Pickford, who presented the award said “We are proud to be continuing our support for this award, offering customers an excellent customer experience is critical during this time of change.  Sincere congratulations go to Birmingham City for maintaining the highest levels of standards in customer service.”

Jan Boothroyd, Chief Executive of Land Data commented: “Land Data are delighted to be able to honour the excellent service from local government local land charges teams who are delivering outstanding results in the face of radical change and budget cuts. All of our winners have shown that they are amongst the best in the business and they should feel proud of what they have achieved.”
